Week #2 of Beta Development


Hello all! We have just completed our second week in beta development!

Here's what's new!

NPC Clothes

We are adding clothes to our NPCs! Previously the "clothes" NPCs had were just textured on to the model but new models have now been created and incorporated into the animations.

We have created several clothing items including 3 types each of:

  • Hats
  • Jackets
  • Pants
  • Shoes

Each of the clothing varities also come in 3 colour variants which means we have a whopping 36 total randomisable outfits for NPCs!

Coffee Orders

Our order system was rehauled this week to be modular, which means sthat NPCs will now choose from a list of coffees to order!

AI

AI has now been fully implemented into the game and all behaviours added. NPCs now search for seats, move around the cafe and leave when they've been injured too many times.

Skin Selection

Since the inception of our game we have the idea to add skins and now we are finally making moves into implementing the feature! A template has been created for our upcoming skin selection feature, where players will be able to complete achievments and earn unique skins to change Serg.io's traditional look. So be on the lookout for this new soon-to-be implemented feature!
